Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 Pre-book dates have been announced. Here is how you can reserve them.

Samsung has just taken off the wraps from its Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 foldables. Both these phones bring notable upgrades over the outgoing models, and are now set to release in India. Samsung India is yet to announce the Indian prices for these but it has announced the pre-book dates for these phones. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 will be available for pre-booking on Samsung.com at its live commerce event, which will happen on August 16, 2022, from 12 noon. This is similar to the pre-book event that was held for the Galaxy S22 series.

Although Samsung does not divulge all the details, it says that consumers who pre-book the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 via Live Commerce event can avail benefits of over Rs. 40000. Additionally, consumers will also get a gift worth Rs. 5199 on pre-booking. “As part of the Live Commerce, the special Bespoke Edition for Galaxy Z Flip 4 and the 1TB storage variant of Galaxy Z Fold 4 will also be available exclusively on Samsung Live. On pre-booking Galaxy Z Flip 4 Bespoke Edition, customers will get a slim clear cover worth Rs. 2000 as well,” says Samsung. The special offers on Live Commerce will be valid till midnight of August 17, 2022.

The Galaxy Z Flip 4 brings notable updates over the Flip 3 from last year. The biggest change this time is bigger 3700mAh capacity battery, a more powerful and efficient Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, a faster 25W wired charging, and matte colour finishes. Samsung is also using newer camera sensors as well as a more efficient display with variable refresh rate. All of this should result in better battery life overall.

The Galaxy Z Fold 4, on the other hand, gets a newer aspect ratio that allows for more practicality. This one has also got the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip, a bunch of new camera sensors on the back (50MP main + 12MP ultra-wide + 10MP telephoto), an improved under display camera tech, faster 25W charging, and a reinforced Main Display.
