Oppo is all set to launch the Oppo Reno 8 smartphone series in India tomorrow. But there is something else that Oppo is planning to bring for the first time in India. With the launch of the Oppo Pad Air, the company is stepping into the tablet market in India. This will be the first ever tablet launched by Oppo and it will be rolled out alongside the Reno 8 series as well as Oppo Enco X2 earbuds. Oppo has already launched the upcoming camera-focused smartphone series and its first tablet in China recently. Here’s everything that you need to know about Oppo’s first-ever tablet in India.

Oppo Pad Air specs and features at a glance

As the Oppo Pad Air has already been revealed in China, we have a fair idea of exactly what Oppo’s first tablet is going to offer. A 10.36-inched 2K display with a resolution of 2000 x 1200 pixels is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset. It packs a 7100mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. The tablet boots Android 12 with Oppo’s own layer of ColorOS 12.

For your basic photography needs, the Oppo Pad Air brings a single 8MP camera at the back with an f/2.0 aperture. While on the front, there is a 5MP selfie camera. For sound, it is equipped with Quad speakers set up with Dolby Atmos support. It may be launched with two storage variants – 64GB and 128GB – with an option to further expand the storage by adding a microSD card.

Considering that the Oppo Pad Air model that was launched in China supports a smart stylus and a magnetic keyboard, the same is expected on the product to be launched in India too.

Oppo Pad Air expected price

The Oppo Pad Air was priced at CNY 1,299 for the base 64GB storage variant at the time of launch in China. If we translate, then it makes roughly around Rs. 15,100. However, its real price will be revealed during the launch. According to specs and features, it will be launched as a budget tablet in India too while competing with the Xiaomi Pad 5, Moto Tab G70 and others.
