Oppo’s Android 13-based custom skins ColorOS 13 will debut on Aug 18, 2022.
Oppo has confirmed the launch date of Android 13-based custom skins ColorOS 13. The new skin will globally debut on August 18, as announced by Oppo. The company claimed that the new skin will bring underlying safety and privacy features in Android 13. The new upgrade features major improvements in the layout as well as functionality. As per the report, Color OS 13 comes with an overall refreshed design. Oppo will live stream the launch event of ColorOS 13 on YouTube and Twitter on 18 August. “Are you ready to add some more color to your life? The #ColorOS13 global online launch event goes live on Aug 18th, 12:00 BST / 7:00 EDT / 16:30 IST,” tweeted Oppo.
Though, there are no specifics yet on the Oppo devices that will get the new Android 13 skin but Oppo Find N and Find X5 Pro are expected to get the new skin. Both devices were part of the Android 13 beta program. The Oppo Reno 8 lineup is also speculated to get the upgrade to Color OS 13.
While the company still hasn’t revealed about the features to make their way to ColorOS 13, it suggested a brand new design that will deliver a ‘concise, comfortable, and smooth Android experience.’ Further, the company also stated that the new skin could provide customisations similar to Google’s Material You’.
Though there is no information on when the stable version of ColorOS 13 will be rolled out, but those who own the Oppo Find N, Find X5, or the Find X5 Pro and live in China, Australia, France, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, UAE or Vietnam can sign up for the ColorOS 13 beta program to get access to the new upcoming features. if they don’t want to wait for the stable version’s release. Do note that the beta program is limited to 1,000 users at a time.
