Nothing Phone (1) gets another update that fixes several bugs and issues. Here is all you need to know about it.

Nothing Phone (1) may have had a rocky start but less than a month since its launch, Nothing has been rolling out fixes faster than you expect. The Phone (1) software is far more polished than ever and Nothing has now rolled out another update to fix more issues ahead of the next sale. The update doesn’t weigh as much as the last update but it tends to fix a couple of things bothering existing Nothing Phone (1) users.

Nothing has recently rolled out a patch for the Phone (1) that promises to fix a couple of issues with the handset. The update weighs only 38.28MB but it has a couple of things that may change the experience for the users. The update is available to download over the air and users will need to check for the new update by heading into System Settings. Here is all you need to know.

Nothing Phone (1) gets another update

The Nothing Phone (1) update has a long list of fixes and improvements that could make existing users happy. Users can now have the fingerprint sensor icon light up even when the display is off. Just like AOD, the fingerprint icon will appear as soon as the phone is shaken or picked up. This should help with a quicker unlocking experience.

Additionally, the Nothing Phone (1) will now turn off its Always On Display interface at night by default. This should help in preserving battery life, given that you don’t need the phone to show the time and notifications while asleep. There are a couple of fixes related to the Bluetooth codec along with a couple of other bug fixes and improvements.

Nothing also says that it has improved the charging performance when charging via other third-party chargers. Hence, users should see an improvement in charging speeds. Note that the Phone (1) does not come with a charger in the box and Nothing sells the 45W charger separately. The phone only support 33W wired charging, although you can wirelessly charge it at 15W.

The Nothing Phone (1) starts at a price of Rs. 32,999 for the base model.
