EPFO to credit interest on Provident Fund deposits onTHIS date! Check PF balance online this way

July 8, 2022 By Fresh News Hub Leave a Comment

EPFO will credit 8.10% interest on PF deposits this year. Know step-by-step guides on how to check PF balance.

Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) is likely to transfer the 8.10% interest on your PF accumulations for fiscal year 2021-22 soon. EPFO announces the PF interest rate for the current fiscal every year and this year it has slashed the PF interest rate to 8.10%. Every year PF interest used to get credited to the subscribers’ account somewhere around Diwali or later, but this time it will get credited a bit earlier. As reported by Zee News, the PF interest will be credited by July 15. Once the interest amount is credited, PF account holders can check their account balance from the comfort of their home by using any of these methods.

How to check PF balance?

PF account holders can check their balance via four different ways – SMS, online, call and UMANG App.

How to check EPFO balance via SMS or call?

EPFO members, whose UANs are registered with EPFO, can check their provident fund balance by sending an SMS to 7738299899 with the text “EPFOHO UAN ENG”. Those willing to get the details in Tamil, can write ‘TAM’, ‘BEN’ for Bengali, ‘HIN’ for Hindi and so on. Users can even give a missed call to 011-22901406 from their registered mobile number to get the details.

How to check EPFO balance via Umang App

1. Install the Umang app on your mobile and open it.

2. Tap on the EPFO option and select “Employee Centric Services.”

You will see a “View Passbook” option upon clicking which you will have to enter your UAN number and the One-Time Password (OTP) received on your registered mobile number to view your EPF transactions, including withdrawals and deposits from your current and previous employment.
