Oppo may bring a flagship smartphone with a 240W charging solution soon, a new report suggested. This is how the charging speed is going to be updated.
The charging technology has seen massive progress being made in the last couple of years. From the 20W charging speeds to the latest 150W option that we have seen for the first time with the Realme GT Neo 3, charging technology is looking to give users a full charge in just a few minutes, taking the daily pain out the equation. In the charging speed race, it was reported a few days back that the upcoming flagship iQOO 10 Pro was tipped to offer a massive 200W fast charging option. If that seems too much, then you will be surprised to know that the 240W charging solution is already in the works and may soon launch with Oppo’s flagship smartphone. The notable fact is that even Apple iPhone 13 still features a 20W charging option which promises to charge it up to just 50 percent in 30 minutes.
The popular tipster Digital Chat Station revealed that a Chinese manufacturer is trial-producing a 24v-10a 240W charger. Though the leak doesn’t reveal the name of the brand or manufacturer. But there is a high possibility that it could be Oppo, while keeping in mind the previous demonstrated 240W fast charging solution back in early 2022.
How fast will this 240W charging support be?
The report by GizmoChina suggests it can even juice up your smartphone from zero to full in just 9 minutes! Back in February 2022, Oppo announced that it has developed a 240W SuperVooc charging technology. And this can charge a 4,500mAh smartphone battery in just 9 minutes. Though it is worth noting that the technology was only tested in a prototype phone, and Oppo hadn’t revealed anything regarding the arrival of this fast-charging technology on any smartphone. Oppo has pushed the competition to newer heights with its Find X series in the market with its performance and charging technology, so it is expected that Oppo will bring new charging solutions for users in the new flagship smartphones. Well, do remember that there is no confirmation about the arrival of a 240W charging solution, hence you will need to wait to hear something official.
