Modelling and acting materialized by chance for Elena and whilst she is grateful for her achievements in the industry, she still stays true to her academic aspirations. She is determined to maintain a healthy balance between her modelling/acting career and charity efforts.

Elena is involved with various projects in India to aid both animal and child welfare. As well as helping to raise awareness for numerous children charities, she is actively involved with talks at schools for PETA, WFA, US charity Sightlife as well as her own charity iAmChange.
